Haryana Police have got a major breakthrough in the Pradeep Jangada Murder case of Hisar as they succeeded in arresting the culprits involved in the murder. The deceased was recently shot dead by his classmates.
While giving this information today, a spokesman of Haryana Police said that on the directions of Superintendent of Police,Hisar, Mr. Anil Dhawan, Police teams were constituted headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Om Bir Singh for arresting the culprits. On the basis of a tip-off, the police arrested Kalyan Singh, a resident of Panihar Chak and Rajkumar of Siswala from village Siswala. The police have also recovered a revolver used in the crime, a live cartridge, seven shells of cartridges and a motorcycle from their possession.
It may be recalled that Pradeep Jangada, a resident of Shyamlal Bagh, Hisar and who was a second year student of Mechanical Engineering in the Kalpana Chawla College was shot dead by his classmates namely Kalyan Singh and Rajkumar on the morning of February 27. After rigorous investigation by the police, the accused Kalyan Singh revealed that on the day of incident he had gone to his relative Kuldeep Singh who lives in a rented house in Azad Nagar and took his licensed revolver and reached college along with this accomplice Rajkumar. On reaching the college, he took the motorcycle of one of their friend Anshul and as Pradeep was about to reach college, they fired gun shots at him. The accused said that after committing the crime they fled to Bhadra City in Rajasthan and the next day when they read the newspaper they found that Pradeep had been killed. Fearing the police action, they again went to Rajasthan.
