Union Ministry of Culture has fixed the date of submission of application form by March 31

Chandigarh February 27

The Union Ministry of Culture has invited applications to provide scholarship to young artists in various fields. The last date of submission of application form has been fixed as March 31 and such applications  would be received only online.

While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that to provide advanced training assistance to those artists who have made outstanding performance in the field of Indian Classical Music, Indian Classical Dance, Light Classical Music, Theater, Visual Art, Folk, Traditional Art, scholarship to 400 artists were being given by the Union Ministry of Culture every year. He said that to obtain scholarship for the year 2011-12, the applicant should be between 18 to 25 years of age. He could also apply on the website www.indiaculture.nic, the spokesman added.
